Montorfano-Mergozzo (VCO)

The white granite quarries of Montorfano are located a short distance from Lake Maggiore on the slope of the Borromeo Gulf and site in the municipality of Mergozzo (VCO).

There are historical records of mining stages from 1473 until present day, the Mergozzese economy for generations, boasts excellent craftsmen of the precious granite.

Please note the ban on research and collection of minerals.
