Right Ala Valley
Morosetto-Borgata Tomà-Ala di Stura (TO)

This resort is located in the municipality mineralogical of Ala di Stura (TO).

From the square of the sanctuary of Martassina you reach in few minutes the small and picturesque village Tomà.

Built of stone and roofed by LAU, can be seen painted on a facade of a House, an old solar clock.

Beyond the village in the direction of the Stura, a bridge we can cross it and in front of us at the foot of Morosetto you can see the last cliff of the mountain, completely smooth from the likely action of ancient glaciers.

Evocative landscape that can be seen from this location, the Uia by Mamojka, L'Alpe Maltrait and Curbassera.

I don't know for sure if this location is reported but mineralogical is definitely known, recent tracks are present.

A large lens of about 3.5 metres rodingite, for one meter of thickness is encased in coils.

The minerals.

Chlorite, calcite , diopside bulk crystals transparent and well finished to the nearest millimetre, Garnet crystals of unusual form, crystalline oxides, sulfides, titanite crystals.

Thanks

My heartfelt thanks to Istituto Geografico Militare in Florence that has made available the cartography of the area treated.
