The Green Lake is certainly one of the Mineralogical localities in the classical wing.
Nestled between the Valley of the Paschiet, at the confluence of the deep valley of the Ortetti and just below the Hill of Vallonetto and Top Chiavesso, Green Lakes with their crystal clear waters reflect the beauty of these places.
We arrive at Green Lakes along a trail that diverges from the hamlet of Cornetti of Balme (TO), in the direction of the Valley of Paschiet.
In two hours we reach the locality of reference via the Pian Salè, small Cabins of Alpe Pian Garavela, Buet which is the antechamber to Green Lakes and where you found of scolecite specimen discrete.
Many different rodingite boulders present between the upper and lower Lake and many more can be seen going up the Valley towards Chiavesso Peak.
THE MINERALS
Albite – apatite – cabasite – chlorite-diopside-epidote-Garnet-magnetite, malachite-vesuvianite.
