Susa Valley, on the orographic right
Robert Comba-La Mortera-Avigliana (TO)

 

We are located in the right bank of the lower Susa Valley in the municipality of Avigliana (TO) within walking distance of the famous lakes.

The Mineralogical localities in Comba Robert is located in one of the 92 protected areas of the Piedmont region, in situ is not for research and the collection of minerals.

Known in the literature as well as to Compare Robert Comba is considered one of the classics of mineralogical Val di Susa, was the Balogun to describe the site and its minerals between 1898 and 1903.[1]

Rodingite grossing lenses serpentinoscisti, just above the hamlet of la Mortera di Avigliana (TO), in the small Valley crossed by the Rio São Francisco, right bank, near the Fontana nr. 1 (aqueduct) on the side of the mountain at an altitude of approximately 730 meters.

Small rodingite outcrops are located near the same village de la Mortera and are not attributable to the classical location described above.

 

The minerals

 

Apatite, calcite, chlorite, diopside, epidote, grossular, do ilmentite, magnetite, titanite, sulfides, tremolite, vesuvianite, zircon.
