Left Ala Valley
Rocca Ciarva-Balme (TO)

We are located in the left bank of the wing Valley in the municipality of Balme (TO), the Ciarva Castle is nestled in an Alpine environment of great beauty.

Joints in the well-known Pian della Mussa, we reach the refuge Bonn where a handy trail leads to Pian Ciamarella in just under 50 minutes.

The trail initially skirts, a few hundred yards away, the famous Ciarva Head, mineral localities that made famous the Vale of Ala for the minerals found.

Just before you reach the Pian Ciamarella, you will notice on our left mineralogical deposits of Giasset, furrowed by rio Ciamarella.

Once on the plane, we can see, to our right, the Ciarvetta that is set on the head Ciarva dominates on the Pian della Mussa.

On the left, at the foot of the imposing complex of Ciamarella, we can observe our mineralogical interest resorts, the majestic Rocca Ciarva.

The base of the fortress Ciarva which rests on the Pian Ciamarella, consists of large piles rovinatisi in succession of geological eras.

The rodingiti present in situ are of a bright red colour and are strongly mineralized to chalcopyrite and magnetite, unlike rodingite lenses found in most high walls of the fortress Ciarva which occur with softer colors very similar to those of the head Ciarva.

The Mineralogical interest zone delimits the beginning of Ciarva Pian Ciamarella pasture of the battle to sell ' opposite side in the locality of Giasbaron.

Approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes ride from Pian Ciamarella, Ghicet can be reached by Sea from where we can admire a beautiful view of the neighbouring valle Grande di Lanzo.

The surrounding landscape is rich in flora and fauna, there are different animal and plant species.
