Lanzo Valley
Rio Ash-Traves (TO)

Located in the municipality of Traves (TO), the manganese ore outcrop of ash is to be highlighted by the presence of piemontite in beautiful crystallisation.

Similar to volcanic bombs, large boulders to massive piemontite and beautiful crystals in quartz, are scattered in the soil and in the bed of the Rio.

Very beautiful magenta crystals of piemontite quartz and immersed in beautiful contrast with the braunite.

Currently we have not yet identified the primary field but almost certainly we can say that this has ruined entirely by 785 from the overlying schist quota the small Rio ash and some of which were from the left bank.

For about 100 metres up at an altitude of 690 has the identical mineralization.

The minerals

Albite in crystals, alurgite, massive braunite and Malik crystals, calcite crystals, oxides of manganese, piemontite in beautiful crystals in quartz and massive with braunite, massive and quartz crystals in minutes, rhodonite in small massive nuclei with spessartina, spessartina in small crystals, titanite.
